Who got volunteered to run the fun day? If that’s you, and you’re hunting for a gaming van that Swansea families will actually enjoy, here’s what we’d tell you over a cuppa.
Give the non-footballers something too
Every community day splits the same way. Half the kids are off chasing a ball round Singleton Park. The other half hover by the cake stall, looking for something to do.
A gaming van gives that second group a place to belong. Suddenly the Minecraft and Roblox fans have a crowd of like-minded mates.
Why a gaming van for community events?
It comes to you. School yard, community centre car park, a rugby club field out towards Gower: wherever the day is, the van pulls up.
Inside, there are wall-to-wall 4K TVs and proper soundbars. It takes a maximum of 10 children at a time, so queues form naturally. Our Team Captains handle the queues so there’s no worries their either.
Pick games that get strangers laughing
Kids who’ve never met don’t need to be good at anything. Gang Beasts, Goat Simulator and Rocket League are brilliant for this, because everyone ends up flailing about and laughing together.
For the footie crowd, there’s EA FC. Our Team Captains make sure nobody gets left holding a controller they never get to use.
One tip before the day
Put the session times on your poster or event page. Parents love knowing roughly when their child’s turn is, and you’ll answer far fewer “when can I go?” questions.
Have a chat with us about space beforehand and we’ll sort the rest. Gaming Squad has 500+ five-star reviews on Google and Facebook, and you can see more at gamingsquad.co.uk.
